What the company owns

A real operational platform after 90 days.

Even if no later phase is pursued, the company still owns a valuable, usable foundation designed to improve daily operations immediately. The first engagement is not simply preparation for another contract.

01

Central Client Database

Organized client profiles, contact details, relationship records, notes, and essential account information.

02

Internal CRM

A working environment for managing client activity, staff follow-up, responsibilities, and relationship history.

03

Document Framework

A protected structure for organizing, categorizing, storing, and retrieving client-related documents.

04

User Roles & Permissions

Defined access levels establishing who can view, manage, approve, or administer specific information.

05

Task & Workflow Tracking

Core operational activity brought into one place with ownership, status, priorities, and next actions.

06

Controlled AI Capability

An initial intelligence layer limited to approved use cases, source material, and staff-review boundaries.

07

Secure Architecture

A deliberate technical direction for identity, access, storage, logging, privacy, and responsible expansion.

08

Validated Product Roadmap

Clear future priorities, phase definitions, technical decisions, risks, dependencies, and planning ranges.

Clear first-stage boundaries

What the initial platform includes—and what remains later.

Defining the first version prevents assumptions, protects the budget, and keeps the team focused on the highest-value operational foundation.

Included in the Initial 90 Days

  • Discovery, process mapping, and product requirements
  • Internal staff login and role-based access
  • Core client profiles and relationship records
  • Internal task, status, and workflow tracking
  • Protected document-organization framework
  • One controlled AI use case with staff review
  • Secure deployment direction and technical documentation
  • Team testing, feedback, refinements, and launch support
  • Complete phased roadmap for future expansion

Reserved for Later Phases

  • Public client portal and client-facing dashboards
  • Automated financial recommendations or autonomous advice
  • Banking, accounting, e-signature, and payment integrations
  • Advanced scenario modeling and financial calculators
  • Native mobile applications
  • Enterprise multi-advisor permissions and reporting
  • Large-scale workflow automation across outside systems
  • Capabilities requiring additional legal or regulatory approval
90-day success criteria

A measurable definition of done.

The first stage is successful when the team can complete real operational work inside the platform—not merely view a prototype.

01 / Client Records

Authorized staff can create, update, search, and manage core client records.

02 / Responsibility

Tasks and follow-up actions can be assigned, prioritized, tracked, and completed.

03 / Documents

Approved documents can be organized and accessed according to defined permissions.

04 / Workflows

At least one core operational workflow can be completed from start to finish.

05 / Controlled AI

The first AI use case operates only within approved content and staff-review rules.

06 / Roadmap

Leadership receives validated priorities, dependencies, risks, and future-stage planning ranges.

Normal industry cost & risk

Prove value before committing to the full product.

A custom financial CRM, client portal, document system, workflow engine, AI assistant, and financial-planning environment is not one feature. It is a multi-stage software product.

Traditional software agency

Large commitment before the product is proven

$250K–$750K+
Enterprise fintech builds can exceed $1 million depending on integrations, mobile requirements, security, compliance, and scale.
  • ×Large upfront commitment based heavily on assumptions
  • ×Long specification and design cycles before staff use
  • ×Many features built before real users validate them
  • ×Change orders as priorities and understanding evolve
  • ×AI and technology choices locked in too early
  • ×Multiple vendors with fragmented accountability
The greatest risk is not only overspending. It is spending heavily on the wrong product.
Strategic product partnership

Build the highest-value foundation first

$33.5K–$45.5K
Estimated combined initial 90-day range, including professional leadership and approved technical, legal, security, privacy, or regulatory resources.
  • Lower initial financial exposure
  • A working operational platform within the first stage
  • Real team validation before additional investment
  • AI shaped around the actual business and approved content
  • Specialist costs approved only when justified
  • One accountable product leader and one evolving roadmap
The goal is not reduced quality. It is reduced uncertainty, waste, and unnecessary risk.
Why this model is different

Investing in the relationship—not maximizing the first contract.

The long-term opportunity is greater than a traditional fixed-fee build. The partnership creates time to learn the company, build carefully, and prove real value before asking the business to fund every future capability.

Risk: Overbuilding

Features are expensive before anyone proves they are useful.

Large projects often accumulate complexity that teams never fully adopt.

Our response: validate priorities with real users before expanding.

Risk: Choosing AI Too Early

Generic AI rarely reflects the company’s language or process.

AI becomes valuable only when it is shaped around approved content, users, and review expectations.

Our response: introduce AI after learning the business.

Risk: Security Gaps

Financial and client data require deliberate controls.

Identity, permissions, storage, logging, retention, and access cannot be afterthoughts.

Our response: security and privacy by design.

Risk: Regulatory Surprises

Late compliance questions become expensive product problems.

Legal and regulatory concerns must be surfaced at the appropriate decision points.

Our response: planned review and independent validation.

Risk: Expensive Rebuilds

Poor early architecture can force major replacement later.

A fast first version still needs a responsible direction for future growth.

Our response: progressive architecture designed to evolve.

Risk: Vendor Fragmentation

Disconnected vendors create gaps in quality and accountability.

Business, design, engineering, AI, security, and compliance decisions must remain connected.

Our response: one accountable product direction.

The product principle

Great software is not built by writing more code. It is built by making better decisions.

My role is to ensure each decision moves the platform toward becoming one of the company’s most useful, secure, and valuable long-term business assets.

All future-stage estimates are planning ranges and will be refined after discovery, user validation, technical review, regulatory review, and confirmation of the company’s highest-value priorities. Final scope, terms, ownership, payment, and responsibilities are governed by the executed agreement.
